We had a wonderful time on the Victoria side of BC. We celebrated Canada Day with the locals by being in their Living Flag ceremony. We ate in the best Chinese restaurant in town. Ken spent 5 hours enjoying the Royal Museum while Sue drove to see Butchard Gardens and the Butterfly Gardens about 13K away. We sure use our GPS navigator,Garmin, NUVI a lot to get around and find places. We find parks, Walmarts, Costcos, boat docks, Museums and everything else along the way. It's the best little gadget we have bought. Saves a lot of stress looking at maps, or asking questions along the way. We saw the famous "Goats on Roofs" as we drove out to take a 10 hr. boat ride on a working mail and supply boat. They take supplies and mail to those who can only be reached by water. We will share some pictures of the inlet we traveled. The 2 ferry rides were fun too, and not as expensive as we thought. I thought I had lost Ken for good when the RV exited the Vancouver Ferry about 5 min. before I could get off in the toad. He couldn't pull over and wait for me but was "forced" to go ahead on the highway with all the other exiting traffic. He got too far away to use the walki talkies. Sue just figured she'd head toward Vancouver and hope to spot the RV ahead. We soon met up and hooked up and realized that maybe we should have had a back up plan. We didn't eat in China Town in Vancouver as it was too authentic for Sue. Ken enjoyed looking and getting the whiffs of all sorts of fish, plants, and spices at the outdoor markets. We spent the day just driving around getting a good look at the glass condos that lined the streets of downtown V. We enjoyed a Friday night music festival in the area where we parked for the night.
We plan to stay around Vancouver a couple days before moving on. The weather is wonderful and we are happy and so are the Canadians who haven't had any sun in a month of sundays.
